"The International Guitar Camp, or IGC for short, is a Guitar Player's community event being presented by Totally Guitars offering some of the finest guitar playing, training and instruction by an elite panel of guitar instructors who truly are "Masters of the Craft."

This International Guitar Camp event, the brain child of Neil Hogan and the TotallyGuitars.com family, will be attended this year by guitar playing enthusiasts from all around the world, many from the TotallyGuitars.com community and a lucky few who find their way to the "Register Now" button on this page.

Most of our players have come to multiple camps, a handful have even been to all our previous ones, continuing their journey of musical development and recharging lifetime bonds formed at earlier camps. Be sure to check out some of their experiences on our IGC Highlights page.

For new IGC attendees this will mark the beginning of their guitar instruction journey and they will discover why this years' International Guitar Camp continues to be heralded as a lifetime experience that promises to give its patrons guidance, progression, and immersion in all things guitar and music."

"Cacapehon is intentionally not like anything else. It is far more than recording and songwriting workshops. It is about community celebrating great music, and great sound. It is five days of learning, listening, and relaxing in a community made up of world-class mentors and fellow music makers. In a world of virtual, cyber and artificial, Cacapehon is about good people together in real life learning, building, creating and celebrating music and sound. So many of our attendees become part of the family, and each year about 80-90% of the attendees sign up again for the following year.

Cacapehon only accepts a few dozen participants every year, making it a more intimate experience, with a lot of direct access to, and interaction with the mentors. The mentors and the participants share all meals together, jam together, and learn together. In addition, ever year we are expanding opportunities for participants to have their work shared with the group and evaluated by the mentors. (There is never any additional charge for this.)

This retreat started as two separate programs, the “Mountain Recording Retreat” and the “Mountain Songwriting Retreat” (in collaboration with Dave Nachmanoff), but after an experimental combined event in 2021, we found that the participants loved the new format. The two programs are now combined, with the possibility of adding more components in the coming years.

We will have daily workshops, listening panels, easy access to mentors, DIY gear building workshops, and of course, bingo where you can win prizes from the Capon shop."
